THE UK PUBLIC BALLOT FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIPS 1st July - 14th July 2019

こんにちは。
気づけば11月も半分が過ぎ、夕暮れが日に日に早まっていくロンドンです。

さて、テニスの四大大会、イギリスでの開催といえば！
ウィンブルドン！！

今年の夏(7月の土曜日)は、朝7:30から五時間のキューの末、初ウィンブルドンを体験してきました。
私のアイコン、およびトップ画像は、そのとき撮影したものです。

さて、ウィンブルドン大会は、毎年６月末～７月初旬に開催されます。

でも…
チケットは、前年９月から抽選販売してるんです…！しかも、年内で〆切。
大会終わって２ヶ月後には、次の年のことを考えなきゃいけないとは。
いくらなんでも、気が早いような…

The UK Public Ballot for The Championships 2019 opened on 1 September 2018. The Overseas Ballot opens online on 1 December 2018.

おぉなんと！
海外からでも、オンラインで抽選エントリーできるんですね。

たしかに、ベスト８以上のセンターコート、No.1,2コートの当日券を取るには、キャンプで一泊二日or二泊三日粘ってがんばる人もいるくらいなので、、
この抽選に当たったら、ラッキーなんて言葉では言い尽くせないでしょう。

[宝くじ]レベルの運が必要みたいです(^^;

さて、ではどうやって申し込むのか？？

Key Dates & Important Information

The opening date for the UK Public Ballot is 1 September 2018
Public Ballot application forms will be available until 15 December 2018
The closing date for receipt of all completed ballot applications is 31 December 2018
Successful applicants will be sent offer letters from Monday 18 February 2019
If you are unsuccessful in the first ballot, your application will be reconsidered at each stage of the ballot process
Returned or declined tickets are continually re-balloted up to The Championships
You may be contacted as late as July 2019, should you be successful

おおまかなスケジュールは、
〇2018/9/1～受付開始
〇2018/12/15まで、申込書は有効
〇2018/12/31が、申込書の受領〆切
〇2019/2/18に、第一回抽選結果の発送開始
〇当たらなくても、もう一回自動的に抽選に回される(チケットの返却、取り消しなどがある限り、再抽選システム)

なんと、当選した人は、２月にはチケットが手に入るのですね・・・！

Step 1 – Requesting the Form（申込書の取り寄せ）

To request a Public Ballot application form, please send in your own stamped, self-addressed envelope（住所を書いて切手を貼った封筒を、右記まで送ってね～！、って…申込書ですら、まずは取り寄せが必要です！！） to: AELTC, PO BOX 98, London, SW19 5AE. Do not submit additional envelopes on behalf of others as this would risk being interpreted as a multiple application（他の人の分の封筒を一緒に送ってはだめですよ～、一人での複数応募とみなされるリスクがありますよ！）.

Please ensure that you write ‘WHEELCHAIR’ clearly on both envelopes should you require an application form for wheelchair spaces（車いす席の場合は、「車いす」とはっきり書いてね）

The envelope should be DL size – approximately 110mm x 220mm and does not require a letter（手紙はいらないから、DLサイズの封筒を送ってね～、だいたい、110mm×220mm。）

※DLとはDimension Lengthwise （幅縦）の略で、封筒の幅と長さの比率が2:1であることから付けられたサイズ呼称です。 A4サイズの用紙が、横三つ折りで入るサイズの封筒。いわゆる「長３」ですね。

Please apply early to allow time for queries and to avoid postal delays in December（１２月は郵便遅延の可能性もあるから要注意！余裕をもって、なるべく早く送りましょうね～）

Step 2 – Filling out the Form（申込書記入）

Please submit ONE application for two tickets per household. Your application will be invalid if a husband and wife, partners or families all apply individually from the same address（同一世帯、最高二枚までの申し込みです！！夫婦・家族それぞれが、同じ住所からそれぞれ申し込んできたら、無効ですよ！！）

Please apply only from your PERMANENT RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS – where you are registered on the Electoral Roll. Your application will be invalid if you apply from a student/temporary address or your holiday home or your business address（選挙人名簿に載ってる、定住している住所からしか応募できませんよ～！居候・旅行中・会社などは不可。）

Please use BLACK ink and write in CAPITAL LETTERS. Your application will be invalid if you use any other colour ink（黒ペンで、大文字で書きましょう。他の色は無効ですよ～）

Please fill in and sign the form yourself. Your application will be invalid if you apply on behalf of a friend or relative or allow anyone to complete the form for you. The application may be signed by someone other than the applicant provided that person has) and provides a copy with the application) a formal power of attorney（必ず自署で！友人や親せきの代わりに申し込んだり、代筆してもらったらだめですよ～。）

Please inform us in writing if you change your name or address after you have submitted your form. Please do not complete another form from your new address（申し込み後に、名前や住所に変更があったら、必ず知らせてくださいね～、新しい住所を記入した、新たな申し込みはしないでくださいね～）

AND REMEMBER….

Please do not ask for more than one form – your application will be invalid（いいですか、申込書は１つしか頼めません！）
You must use the tickets yourself – please do not apply for tickets as a gift or to sell（当選したチケットは、他人への譲渡、販売は禁止です）
Please do not cross out/annotate/amend/ or write instructions on your form – your application will be invalid（申込書の説明書きに、訂正線を引いたり、注釈をつけたり、勝手に文章を修正したりしてはいけませんよ～、無効になります）

Step 3 – Sending the Form（申込書を送る）
Please POST your form to: AELTC, PO Box 67611, London, SW19 9DT. Your application must be received by the Ticket Office, postmarked no later than 31 December 2018.（2018/12/31当日消印有効で、この住所まで郵送してくださいね～。封筒申し込みの住所と違うので要注意！！）

Unfortunately, late applications will not be processed.

Step 4 – What Happens Next（それで、その次は…）

When we receive your completed form, we will enter your details for tickets for Centre, No.1, No.2 or No.3 Courts for The Championships 2019（完璧な申込書を受け取りましたら、センターコート、no,1,no,2,no,3コートの抽選にエントリーします。）
We will not acknowledge receipt of your form. The AELTC cannot be held responsible for the non-receipt of your form and any inconvenience resulting from this（申し訳ないけど、申込書が届いたかどうか、受領確認はしてませんよ。何か問題があって届いてないかったとしても、責任は負いかねますから。）

Step 5 – The Ballot Process（抽選のプロセス）

The ballot will be performed over the following categories of tickets with the successful applicants being offered tickets from one category for one day:

（抽選は、下記のカテゴリーにおいて行います。それぞれの試合日において、それぞれ１カテゴリーから、チケット当選者が選ばれます）

Centre Court or No.1 Court or No.2 Court or No.3 Court

one pair of tickets（二枚一セットのペアチケット）
two single tickets (i.e. the seats will not be adjacent)　（二枚のシングルチケット（席は、離れちゃうかもね））
one single（一枚のシングルチケット）

single/two single tickets are balloted once all the pairs have been offered. If you are offered a pair of tickets only require one ticket, please make this clear when making payment（一枚or二枚のシングルチケットの抽選は、ペアチケット当選が確定した後に行われます。一枚のシングルチケットしかいらないのに、ペアチケットが当たってたら、支払いの時に明確にしてくださいね～(※こんなラッキーな人もいるの！？と思うけど、どの日付で、どのコートが当たるかもわからない（主催者側の抽選）ので、、、ミスマッチは起きるかもしれません。）

Successful applicants will be sent offer letters from Monday 18 February 2019（当選者通知は、2019/2/18～スタート。）

If you are unsuccessful in the first ballot, your application will be reconsidered at each stage of the ballot process（もしだめでも、次の抽選システムに移行する、とみなされます。）

Returned or declined tickets are continually re-balloted up to The Championships（返却分orキャンセルのチケットに対しては、繰り返し再抽選があります。）
You may be contacted as late as July 2019, should you be successful（もし当選してたら、遅くとのも2019年７月までに、連絡してくださいね～）

Unfortunately, seats allocated by the main ballot cannot accommodate wheelchairs. If you have entered the main ballot, but subsequently become a wheelchair user, please contact the Ticket Office without delay.（車いすの抽選に関しては、問い合わせてください）

Step 6 – After the Ballot is run（抽選終了後）

If you are offered tickets, you will be able to pay for your tickets by credit/debit card through our secure website. Please ensure that you pay before the payment due date – failure to do so may result in your tickets offer being forfeited（チケットオファーが届いたら、支払いお願いします。クレジットカードまたはデビットカードで。支払期限を守って払ってくださいね。期限を過ぎると、チケットが没収される可能性もあるので注意！）
